As anyone who has had food struggles, it is important for me to stay on track with just how I actually eat because if altered, I can easily develop an harmful relationship.
Exercise smart, things are great. I be sure to run or do in the home workouts while traveling and when home I walk nearly 4-5 miles/day plus do a yoga exercise class. Still, Personally i think much less like myself. Actually I don't believe the scale had moved up a lot more than 2 pounds nevertheless, you can easily tell when your denims are snug or if your body isn't looking the same within the mirror.
Most of the time, it's the small choices that add up; too many moments I've stated yes to fries instead of a salad or indulged in a treat even when I wasn't starving after a meal but simply because I could. I hate when I convince myself the opposite of my accurate intention. It's all about the commitment to living a wholesome, balanced existence and I need to remind myself of this throughout my day and particularly when it comes to could nourish my own body.
While I still consider myself a healthy person, I really like checking and writing these thing with you because it makes me personally feel even more accountable towards my wellness goals. What are those specific goals you ask? To eat more vegetables and much less refined sugars, to build more muscle also to engage every once in a while. Overall, my meals choices just require a bit of an adjustment and I'm going to be using the rest of April to be sure I'm carrying out just that.
Because of this, I made these granola pubs for a day snack. They are above all my favorite granola bar yet because of all of the fun ingredients like oats, quinoa, fruit, nut products, chia and hint of banana taste. Plus they don't break the bank. Honestly they're incredibly filling, similar to how you feel after you consume one particular giant Clif bars yet they don't weigh you down.

Ingredients
1/2 cup uncooked pre-rinsed quinoa
2 tablespoons chia seeds
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup natural creamy almond butter
2 tablespoons honey or pure maple syrup
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 levels F. Range an 8x8 in . baking pan with parchment paper to avoid bars from sticking.
In a large bowl, combine oats, uncooked quinoa, chia seeds, sodium and cinnamon. Mix in mashed banana and vanilla. Flip in almonds, pecans (or walnuts) and dried out fruit.
Place a small saucepan over low temperature; add almond butter and honey (or maple syrup) and mix until warm and almond butter can be melted. Fold into granola bar combination until well combined. Pour into prepared skillet and press down securely with hands or with a measuring cup to help pubs stay intact. Bake for 25 a few minutes or until edges turn golden dark brown. Allow to cool completely before slicing into 10 bars. I cut mine into 8 originally and they were much too filling for the snack, so I reduced the serving size to 10.
Feel free to mix and match dried out fruits and/or nuts while you see fit.
These bars could be stored at area temperature for a few days, but are best kept tightly wrapped within the fridge or freezer.
